George Koster

George has extensive knowledge in residential and commercial real estate sales and development within the Lake Tahoe, Truckee and Reno region. George works with clients to develop a business plan around their objectives, where he assembles a team of subject matter experts to accomplish those objectives. George has expertise in working with local governments in community redevelopment through mixed use development, brown field redevelopment and affordable housing. George is extensively involved in local community revitalization through participation as a board member and committee member of the following of community organizations:

• Affordable housing non for profit organization Workforce Housing of Truckee Tahoe;
• North Lake Resort Association Board;
• North Lake Tahoe Historical Society;
• Economic Restructuring Committee of the North Lake Tahoe Business Association's Main Street Program

George has experience in real estate development through his many years of strategic and merchandising work with real estate development companies such as The Rouse Company and the Edward DeBartelo Company. As co-owner of Century 21 Tahoe Resort Properties and Century 21 Tahoe Sierra Real Estate, George provides his extensive marketing and sales background to the brokerage and its customers.

George has knowledge of Green Building and is a member of Build it Green, Sierra Green Building Association, and the Green Affordable Housing Coalition. Additionally, George applies his love of history by working with individuals to preserve and restore historic buildings. George is co-developing an official Squaw Valley Museum to celebrate the 1960 Winter Olympics and Winter Sports Heritage.

Prior to moving to the Lake Tahoe region and launching the real estate brokerage, he was a Senior Manager of Business Development for eBay. At eBay, George built brand recognition and user participation through marketing and merchandising programs with Warner Bros., History Channel, Universal Studios, National Geographic and others. Additionally, George created and executed the bidder verification program on highly-visible eBay auctions, live auction tool with Bonhams & Butterfields Auctions, the eBay co-branded credit card program and various eBay publishing products such as the eBay Magazine, How To eBay book, eBay for Dummies and eBay Cliff Notes. George has wide-ranging knowledge of auctions through his work at eBay.
